Feb. 16-23: Join the Presidents’ Day Week of Action!

Feb. 16-23: Join the Presidents' Day Week of Action!

Congress heads out on recess from Feb. 16th to 23rd, and a new version of Fast Track legislation is set to be introduced when they return. Now is the time to make our voices heard, letting our representatives know what’s in store if they choose to support Fast Track for dangerous, corporate agreements.

Check out our action map to join one of the 18 events being held by Citizens Trade Campaign and others working for trade justice across the country, or see the list below. If there isn’t one in your area, make plans to hold your own rally, call-in, letter drop-off, flyering session, or other event TODAY!

Follow this link for creative action ideas and resources, and contact us anytime at [email protected] for more materials, support, or to connect with others nearby who are interested in stopping Fast Track. If you do plan something in your area, be sure to post it on the map using the page’s “Submit an Action” form and to let Citizens Trade Campaign (CTC) know here.

If you’re curious about where your representative might stand, take a look at Citizens Trade Campaign’s list of representatives who signed letters opposing Fast Track in the last Congress. Still, we urge you to drive the “VOTE NO” message home with your member no matter what — a new Congress and “new” Fast Track bill mean that anything could happen.

Though we’ve got our work cut out for us, we know we’ve also got a real chance to make a difference in the struggle for trade justice this year — especially as we continue to stand alongside so many organizations, individuals, and communities across the country and across the world! Make plans to join the action today.
